the nissan units are very picky about what type of disc thay will read thats why i didnt say about the cheaper disc's

not many 04-05 oem navs had postcode input at that time (apart form the higher end cars) i have an old tom tom knocking about that doesnt have it

edit. just pulled some info i have on nissan nav's, birds view systems dont support postcode input or poi/poi warnings aka speed cameras

Thanks for comming back... Yes it does have Bird View, but it doesn't have/I can't find the facility to input postcodes.  I wondered if I bought an update, it would include the ability to navigate to a postcode.  There's no mention of using postcodes in the manual!

I don't know of another satnav that doesn't use postcodes!!!

Update dvds are available from a number of sources @ around £40, lots cheaper than Nissan's £360.  No-one seems to know if there's a postcode upgrade though...

Does it have the birds-view sat nav ? if so the updates are done by getting a new dvd and there a small fortune from nissan tho

Hi everyone,

I recently became the owner of an 05 Pathfinfer T-Spec Auto.  The sat nav doesn't use postcodes.

Please, does any one know of an update or fix for this?
