Hi Flash, according to Nissan the tyres should only be swapped front to back on the same side, this would make sense as a tyre swapped diagonally would be subjected to reverse loads compared to where it had spent all it's previous loading and wear patterns and these wear patterns will reduce grip until worn down to suit the new position. I do not swap my tyres around as it can mask misalignment issues that could other wise be spotted and the thought of buying 4 at a time makes my wallet cry.

Hi Phil, sorry but no idea on the corsa's price as they were fitted by a friend's garage as a favour for some troubleshooting I did for him not so long ago and I didn't want to ask, but upto now I would fit them next time, if you ring around some places or look on blackcircles.com, they have tyres from £67 fitted, Falken's @£72. The plastic dash rattles more in mine when it's cold below 12°c and is silent above 16°c, then again with the granddaughter in the car I never ever will hear it creak or rattle. have a good weekend.

with tyres if you go wider and go with a smaller sidewall the price drops by 15-20 quid a corner as there a more common size

speedo wise it only changes the rolling radius by 0.8%

Hi Phil, seems good to me, I don't feel it's narrow though, it has the same inside dimensions as my 2.0 ltr auto vectra and I'm 1.83 mtrs and 100kg's, the armrest if you have one is rubbish too! The main reasons i bought mine were 1) camchain engine (sick of rubber band cambelts) more frequent oil changes will keep the chain and tensioner in good clean operating condition (oil is always cheaper than replacing expensive parts). 2) ease of servicing on my drive. 3) practical and flexible load space. 4) Parts availability and price (parts common with other nissan vehicles). I haven't bought a car on it's looks my entire life and I've had uglier ones than this one including a flourescent lime green SAAB 99, at best it was called kermit and worst mucous (never lost that one in a car park) As to tyres mine has currently on the front a pair of corsa's 185/55/16 and they seem fine, on the rear are conti prem2's. Iv'e never skimped on tyres or brakes as they are so important to keeping your trousers clean. I have access to some racing cars of old, to take on the track for when i wish to let rip and I'm too old to bother with street cred (it stops you being you for a start) though the vectra could take one hell of a load, even had a milling machine in it once, I don't really miss it as I had lots of them of that type as company cars and even now it felt like getting into the office, so a change is good and so far I have no regrets on this choice, so it may stay for ten years or so, the last vectra stayed for 13 yrs.

Glad you like yours, I bought mine after a lot of procrastination as I've always had big vehicles before and covered huge mileage in them. The Note wins on practical space and moving rear seats with dividers to stop the small items rolling all over the place. it's easy to service, nice to drive from a relative standpoint and I'm getting used to the looks but then I can't see it from the inside of the car and therefore doesn't matter too much to me. More importantly the granddaughter loves it and we can get the bicycles in the back etc though she would like the roof to come off in summer.The larger mpv's handle like boats in a squall.
