about your gear stick,get under car to the centre and
you'll see a heat guard beside exhaust,take off heat
guard(4 screws i think)and check the little spring is not
broken,if it is try stretching back on ,if not replace -
this causes the gear stick to shake a lot when broken,only

Hello there,

the heater problem is an easy fix. It is down to the
heator resistor card. It has simply stopped working.

A resistor card is the same in Micras(K11), Primeras (p10
and a P11 like yours), Almeras (N15) up to 2000 IIRC, a
tenner will get you a full working one from a scrapyard.

The gears wanting to pop out would be IIRC the rear
engine mount wearing, get it checked out from a garage.

I'm not mechanically minded, just read a lot of forums,
but I think what I've typed out are the symptons

hi all got a couple of problems with my 98 p11 primera, 1 the heater only works  on the highest speed setting and i am getting a lot of movement from the gear stick when take my foot on and off the go go pedal? i saw a comment on here some time ago about the heater but can not find it now as for the gear stick problem could that be engine mounts wearing?  Big Smile
