Hi Kenny.
 
First thing to check on this would be for any damage to the ABS rings on your front CV joints. They are really common for cracking and can cause all sorts of issues.

Hi Folks,
Can anyone let me know if it's likely for an ABS ECU to
go faulty on a '00 N15?
It's got an intermittent ABS light coming on when it
feels like (no pattern to it)
I checked it last week and it gave me fault code 35 left
rear open circuit but after checking the resistance at
the ECU it seemed in spec with no change while doing a
'wiggle' test along the length of the wiring.
I tried to clear the code but to no avail despite the ABS
light not staying in at the time.
Just checked again tonight and I've still got code 35 but
now also have 26 and 36 as well left front and left rear
short circuit!!! Why oh why could/should it have a short
and open circuit fault on the same circuit!?
Resistance check on left rear still in spec (approx
1400ohms) but I checked the right rear as well and found
it still in spec but quite a bit lower (approx 900ohms).
Once again the ECU is not letting me clear the codes
using the procedure detailed by autodata.
Any thoughts / experience???
