   hi there, ive been having tacho problems with it being erratic and sometimes reading 1tho above actual RPM. was told it could be the alternator so have checked tht its charging correct.  i used a multimeter on the batt and got above 12volts and as soon as i started the engine it went to 14.4volts but when i rev the engine the voltage doesnt change? 

does this mean it fubberd? dont think it should be charging at 14.4volts while at idle?
