2 Years ago we bought a brand new Qashqai from Evans Halshaw in Sunderland. In March of 2011 we noticed random dull spots down one side of thE car. Nissan told us that Externall factors I.e bird muck or Acid rain was the cause. We argued that if it was Acid Raid then it would affect the bonnet and roof, not one door and wing. We took the car into Evans Hallshaw paint shop and was informed that it looked like a fault within the paint and he would send a report to the dealership (Evans Hallshaw.) After 6 months of constant phone calls to Nissan and Evans Hallshaw we are no closer to getting this matter sorted. Evans Hallshaw keep saying they will call us back but never do, and when my wife asked why they dont phone us back the reply was "If your not happy with the service put a complaint into customer services!" Evans now want the car taking in for a paint thickness test to see if it's been re-sprayed, "fine" we said whan shll we bring in,now? No came the reply because we dont have the equipment here yet to do the check on the paint thickness, we will get back to you.We are now seeking legal advise and putting this into the hands of a legal team.

We love the Qashqai, however we would never buy another because the after sales is worse than awfull. Fault in paint+ new shockers+new brake disc and pads on a car thats covered 13000+ bad after sales= Never again.

tbh evans are carp from the amount of complaints i have read about, take it to nissan head office as high up as you can get if you dont get any joy take it to trading standards make sure thay have all the relevent paper work,

get an independent report done on the paint if you can

re. brakes some dealers only have a 30-40% wear limit the pads and disc's were prob fine servicing and parts is where thay make thier money tbh

Been in touch with Nissan they say they are waiting for Evans Hallsaw. Evans hallshaw  say they are waiting for Nissan. Each blaming the other. Spoken to customer services, customer complaints, managers, and nothing.
