Hi all Im new.
I have just bought an 08 nissan note 1.4 acenta I thing that I may have some stuff missing but am not sure. in the first pic, along the bottom of the windscreen there is a foam strip showing, should this have a trim section to hide this ?, I think the screen has been replaced. second is on the handbreak, at the bottom of the handle you can see through to the bottom as if the plastic isnt long enough to cover the hole.has this been cut, as there was an MOT gail in the past to say that the handbreak needed to be tightened up and I think they may have done it then. third pic, what the hell is this hanging from the roof liner ? many thanks for any help and info steve ![]() ![]() Edited by flash22 |

did it the long way around, the binnacle on the roof lining is the microphone housing for your bluetooth phone, the handbrake requires adjusting by the look of the angle it's at and the foam bit is normal.

Hi Neg, I checked my handbrake position last night, it is correctly adjusted (4<5 clicks depending on how hard you pull it) and the gap you have is present also, so it is normal. Just seems they either miscalculated on the length or didn't have enough room to fit more sleeving in but on the plus side you can easily access the adjuster so it may be intentional.

only a guess as i cant see you pics, your on about the the bit of plastic trim by the botton of the handbrake, you need to remove this when removing the center console this allows you to slide the console back, forwards and up - so you can access the handbrake and electronics/ecu's

just tried it and it takes 8 clicks to lock the car off, so it needs adjusting.
