I have a Nissan Almera Sport plus 1.8 (2000 reg) and the ABS warning light is constantly on - it does not flash when the ignition is turned on and just remains on all the time.
I have searched the problem and tried the resolutions:
There is no connector under the drivers seat.
The reset - (turn the ignition off when light flashes, press the door switch does not work)
Any ideas what the fault is and how to do a reset?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hi Steve and welcome to CN

Most of the time i've read about ABS lights staying on it's been due to the a cracked or dirty ABS ring, Mick maybe able to offer more on this though.

Don't ask me, i just work here!

Hi Steve.
Is it the ABS light or the airbag light? I only ask as you mentioned checking wires under the seat.
If I is the ABS light then there is a good chance there will be a crack in one of the front ABS rings (well done Paul). This is the castleated ring on the outer CV joint and if you check them carefully you may see a split in one of them.
If its not that then your looking at needing the codes reading as it may be a sensor or the ECU.

Whoops - it's the air bag light - thanks to you both for  replying.
Unless there is a simple  fix I will get it checked out to be on the safe side.
