right, thanks for that. with that information, i can work
out which is which. I believe the 07 Teknas have the same spec and look as SVEs apart from front arm rests and 6cd changer with bluetooth. the late 08 teknas have, what you mentioned, sat nav and rear parking sensors. the name connect system confuses me too. because various places call both the 6cd changer and sat nav as connect systems. sticking that name on advert make me can't work out what it has. i suppose i now have to retro fit both if i want them. any ideas on how much one of those oem sat navs is? |

a bit of an update.
finally bought a 57 plate nissan note tekna auto in black. first impression coming down from a 2.0 diesel is that it runs out of puff pretty quickly on the motorway but it's fantastic in town. i like the kick down feature but the engine does sound quite harsh when pushed. what exactly is O/D? (sorry never had an auto before) i like everything about it at the moment, must be that new car feeling. haha. the 6-cd changer is fantastic. bluetooth phone thing is loud and clear. now i just want to get some accessories for it. anyone know any places that sell things like nissan kick plates, mats etc apart from ebay? and anyone managed to fit HID headlights or HID interior lights? advice appreciated. |

o/d is over drive and is on as default when od is on it puts the ecu and gearbox into an0ther mode moving the rev limit, mine is fine at motorway speeds but tbh i dont push it above the speed limit there are accesorys from nissan, cobra-sor and impul (your have to import them from japan) there are a few more bits coming onto the market slowly http://www.cobra-sor.de/startseite.php?width=1596&height =694&sprache_id=2 some cube and versa parts fit the note as there built on the same platform i have taken a few gambles in the past and imported parts from the USA and Australia

thanks flash, you've always been helpful. this forum is a
bit quiet isn't it? anyway those accessories are quite expensive aren't they, entry guard at £140??
my car is in pretty good condition apart from what i can see, the brake calipers and wheel nuts have rusted. should i be worried about it? i brimmed the tank at £47, the range computer said it would do about 235 miles. thats like 22mpg, that doesnt look very good. what sort of range can you get from yours? |

your have to learn to drive an auto it will seem strange for a while the feel of coasting down hills and up to traffic lights ect once you do the mpg will rise remember it 1 foot driving the left foot does nothing around town average is around 29-31 took mine on a trip - 40 miles or so with a mix of hills and flats 30-60 mph limits 37 - 39 mpg on the way back i took a 3/4 lane a road what returned 40-45 mpg claliper rust as thay get hot and cold all the time with all the carp off the road attacking them to same goes for the nuts if you that fussed paint the calipers and get some new bolts this forum is quite but a lot of passing trade as it where the owner does pop in now and again |

just filled up with my second full tank today and managed
to work out the mpg for the first time properly. The note has been used 70% in city + 30% on motorways. Spent £49 for a full tank @ £1.29 per litre. In the other words, I'm getting 32mpg costing 18 pence per mile. comparable to my old Passat 2.0 diesel. MPG wise is a bit rubbish but the cost to run makes it worthwhile. so a petrol, even an auto, can be as frugal as a diesel. |
