   Insurer Bennetts say beat the credit crunch and save more than �300,000 over a life time by moterbiking to work instead if driving!.
Research also showed riders saved approx four and a half years over a lifetime by beating traffic jams.
If living in London you would save �1,929 by avoiding the �8 a-day congestion charge.
It costs 47 per cent more to drive to work than ride the research shows bikers save �6,500 a year or �130 a week based on a commute of 39 miles, for 5 days aweek over 12 months.
