Hello!

My micra convertible has lockable passenger seat storage linked to
the central locking. I can't get it open!! You can feel it clicking to try to
open when everything else is unlocked but it won't budge! Nothing is
jammed in it and I've done a whole load of things to get it undone. I've
looked at the wiring under the seat and nothing appears to be
loose/cut...rang Nissan no help really...any ideas/help much
appreciated!

does the seat storage have a lock ? or is just on the central locking

if there a connector near the lock motor undo it and make sure its not corroded or the pins are loose

can you access the back of the seat you may be able to get at the linkage to open it

pulled some info up for ya, check the voltage to the actuator there are 3 wires Br,L and a ground check with a meter when you press lock/unlock the br or L wire should go 0-12v-0 (lock/unlock)

if theres no pulse you need to check the continuity of the loom between the actuator and the body control module

Thanks for the info...yes, it does lock (for the brave people that leave
their car with the roof down and go off somewhere, stops pesky
thieves cos it locks!) central locking everywhere else is fine. Im
rubbish with cars and it's workings so your help is great...but...where
would the connector near the lock motor be??!! it was working
because there's some of my things in it...since I opened and closed it
a few times I had moved the seat as far forward as it would go to get
something giant home...I'm thinking ive dislodged a wire somehow,
but as I posted nothing looks loose/hanging off or sliced by the
runners.

follow the cable out of the actuator and you will find the plug the plug maybe secure but one of the pins is a bit loose its worth a second look

common cause is kids in the back little feet and cables dont mix

Hi again...I 'fixed' it lol... I tucked the pull cord way down behind the
seat and it had jammed itself in the central locking mechanism! Took
the plastic bit off the back of the chair and released it! I only tucked
the cord so far down to deter people from seeing a pull cord and
thinking hmm that must be a storage area for nice things...I'll have a
look! :-)
