i have done 2 or 3 k12s you always make sure its full working before you put it back together i cant remember what car it was but we had to take the engine bay apart to slide the dash forward to access 10-12 screws to get a stereo out something like 1/2 a day and 3 people todo it !! so the micra isnt all that bad really Edited by flash22 |

yours is a 58 plate ?? the k12 is a pita to get the stereo out of 1. Open both front doors 2. Remove the door seals 3. Remove the dash top by pulling upwards 4. Remove the bracket from under the dash top bolding the radio in (3x10mm bolts). make sure you dont drop these as they are quite awkward. You dont take the radio out as a single unit, you take the radio, trip computer and vents out as one unit. 5. Remove the plasstic caps inside the little compartment at the top, and remove the two screws. 6. Remove the two screws UNDEREATH the section of trim you are going to remove, just above the heater controls. 7. Pull the radio along with everything else out as one. 8. Remove all connectors ensuring you remember where they go. 9. Put everything you have removed on a carpeted table to stop scratches, and gently remove the vents by pressing the clips back that hold them in place. 10. You can now access 4 screws that hold the radio into the frame, remove them as well as loosening as many screws as you can see that hold the together, i remember i used to loosen a certain 4. 11. With the frame loosened it is now possibe to remove the radio from the frame, otherwise its too tight
Your nearest dealer should be Beadles nissan Wood Close if not theres ones in tonbridge, dartford and eltham (A decent maindealer for a change) |

Thanks for the reply Mick
The dealer said he would do it for free, im just to lazy to drive 30 miles into London wait around whilst they do it and then dive back again. I might see if theres a dealer local to me Maidstone. Lynall |

Hi. Other than taking the radio to a car audio shop to be de-coded there is nothing much else you can do. How much does the dealer want to obtain the code? Mick |
