Getting on my nerves!

I am having to run the a/c to keep the screens clear
which is not the end of the world but it kills what
little power the car has!

I have done a quick scout around and cannot find any damp
spots or wetness anywhere.

Ive had plenty of cars with a/c and whilst this weather
is a pain this is without a doubt the worst car for this
yet.

Any ideas?

Is this a common Micra thing and how do people without
a/c clear their screens?

should be an easy fix, i take its normal air con and not climate

you can set the air circurulation to re-use the air in the car, or bring in fresh air from the outside

if you set to fresh air it should balance the temp inside the car when it gets cold

basicly all you need todo is push a button (or push a slider)

Was thinking filter myself too, as far as i know its located behind the glovebox. check the condition of it, they can be washed but they are not too expensive anyway, just make sure if you do wash it to to make sure it's dry before you put it back.

Good point its climate and one of the the first things i
tried was to have the recirc button set for outside air
this didnt make any difference.

I will give you an example get in car at 6.15 am and
drive off wipers are going as they are set to auto and
the screen constantly needs clearing this is weatehr
outside not inside!

I also set the climate to clear the screen this goes flat
out and switchs the air con on and clears the screen
inside fast.

Once clear i switch of the clear screen button and the
a/c goes off, after a couple of miles the car slowly
starts to mist up if i look over my shoulder when the
screen just starts to mist at the edges the side windows
are covered, a/c back on and another 2 miles or so and
its clear again.

Its not a short commute 12 miles and the car gets a good
work and full running temperature.

I think i will have the carpets up this weekend and try
and find the pollen filter.

I had the drivers side mat up a few weeks ago to fit the
seat heaters and it was dry under that side.

you dont need the carpets up the pollen filter is behind the glovebox if you can stand on your head you can get to it. otherwise pop the glove box out

its a bit of a faff to get out with sqeezing the top down and twist the botton up

Havent looked at pollen filter yet, but did get car up on
ramp straight after arriving at work with a/c on and
water was dripping from the drain tube and its clear so
not that.

But was washing car the next day and when squeeging the
water off i noticed a couple of drops of water on the
inside of the window so opened door and sure enough the
handle was pointing down and not up so was half a turn
down.

I dont think the washing was the cause more the rain we
have had lately and the damp overnight, carpets werent
damp so defo think just damp air.

Has been fine for 3 days so far no a/c on and clear
screens all round, obviously only time will tell.

Must check pollen filter as well!
