Bonnet release cable not operating

   Hi All,     2001 Almera 1.5 SE
The title says it all really, the cable seems to be attached at the lever end but it will not release the bonnet catch, any sensible ideas welcomed.
Is it just bad news or is there an answer from the front?

	Is the handle loose ? or is there some resistance ?? get some one to pull the handle while pushing and giggling the bonnet it may pop up

	Hi What can I say except thanks, took the wife outside (If you'll forgive the expression) jiggled the bonnet whilst I pulled the lever and it opened. Sprayed with lubricant and now it works as it should again Many thanks Neil C
