Problem solved.
It would appear that I had downloaded a rogue App. Don't know which one but a factory re-set solved the problem. Interesting to note (forgive the pun!) though that both HTC and BT blamed each other and rather than try to establish just what the problem was, kept passing me back and forth. It was left to me to do a re-set. Thanks to HTC and BT then. NOT! |

I have a desire HD and it works perfectly with my connect system. It detects it the moment I start the car. And it doesn’t switch itself on and off to do that. |

as you say it seems a common problem on the htc phones have you tried connecting it to a BT headset ? you should be able to get the firmware/software off htc's website |

Yes it's the basic Desire.
The GPS on the phone is off. I think have the latest firmware(?) How do I know? Nokia and other phones tested don't have the same problem. Edited by weemorris |

I recently upgraded my mobile phone to an HTC Desire and it is playing havoc with the Connect system in my Note.
When I switch on the Bluetooth in my phone, after a few moments, the whole Connect unit switches off. Sometimes it switches itself back on again but most times it doesn't. When it does, it sometimes asks me to input the security code and the navigation is all over the place. Has anyone else had this experience? My previous phone was an HTC Hero and there wasn't a problem with that nor is there a problem with my wife's Nokia Bluetooth. It is seemingly a compatibility problem with the Desire. If this is a common problem, then I think HTC should be made aware of it. |
