Can somebody tell me the easiest method of removing the fuel cut solonoid from a VE type sytem, it looks like a sparkplug and is fitted on the end of the injector pump. The problem i have is that the engine is fitted in a boat so is a little difficult for access. I have tested the solonoid and there is a tiny click when power is applied but not sure if it is working correctly as the engine will not start anymore. I have checked the diesel fuel and it is at the pump inlet but thats as far as i have got. The engine had been running for a hour when it just stopped for some reason and will not restart. Any help would be appreciated especially if there is a special tool for removing the solonoid without having to dimantle half the engine to get a spanner on it.
