hi  all,

I own a 57 adventura with just under 60k mls. recently noticed 2 issues

1st;  on depression of the throttle to acceleraqte the vehicle while motoring the engine revs increase almost instataneously  by approx 500 revs then decrease by approx 400 with no decernable acceleration. The revs then increase in a controlled manner and the vehicle accelerates to the desired speed. When using the acceleration option on the cruise control this annomally in the revs  does not happen. Grateful for any ideas.

2nd; recently become aware of an increasing vibration at speeds between 70 and 80 mph below and above this speed range vibration dissapears. Vibration is present both in gear and out of gear(ie coasting) suggesting something in the running gear. had wheel balance checked but to no effect. Again grateful for any ideas.

lastly in response to VT post on paint issues checked rear door and I too have the same problem.

regards

Nairn

Hi Nairn.

You could possible have a fault on your accelerator pedal. Have you checked for any fault codes?

As regards your vibration it does sound like wheel balance. Have you tried swapping the wheels front to rear and try it again?

Hi all,

Update to the vibration problem, turned out to be a u/j breakup on the front prop shaft.  Identified by a local garage mechanic who took it for a drive.  Nissan garage  didnt think there was a problem. However, when taken back under warranty Nissan mechanic said that it was a common fault on Navaras. So if you have got a vibration check your u/js.

Cheers
