For the last 10 years I've used Morris semi synthetic 10/40 car oil in my bikes. I did 130,000 miles om my first NTV before I sold it, my second has just completed 100,000. My VFR is only on 40,000 but none of these bikes used a drop of oil between 8,000 mile oil changes despite being driven hard in all conditions. My local motor factors sells it at about £15 a gallon. I can't see much point in paying over the odds for special bike oils unless you are racing a super sports model. |
