Hello Y'all

I've just serviced my Note 1.6 and all went well until I tried to remove the engine cover to access the intake Manifold in order to replace the Plugs. The passenger side bolt of the engine cover was spinning and not undoing. This led to me trying brute force and ignorance which in turn led to a broken engine cover. (I really must go to those anger management classes) My question is.... Is the replacing of the spark plugs in the 1.6 Hd engine as complicated as it looks and does anyonw know where I can get a new engine cover from without paying the ridiculous prices from Nissan? Oh.. also... The engine cover is purely cosmetic... (Isn't It???)

yes the HR16DE plug change is a pig as you have to take the manifold off as well as the intake and throttle body the the engine cover does what it says it covers the engine

plug Change you will need.

4 plugs @ around £11 each

1 inlet manifold gasket @ £7-10

its optional to change the O ring on the TB

I have the full instructions if you havent got it already, spare cover urr umm ebay or the breakers i know there a fortune

Thanks flash.

I have a Cd with all the removal and replacement instructions but it keeps asking you to jump backwards and forwards to different sections. If you have them all in one sheet I would be grateful for a copy. Thanks for the advice . I have looked on the internet for breakers and hopefully have found an engine cover quite near.
