Hello All, I have a 2000 Y61 2.8TD 5 door patrol se. When I bought it, it came with one key and no remote for the central locking. I went to Nissan to get them to sort out a new remote but they where unable to do it. My key is a but worn, but still works as it should. The mechanic seemed unwilling to take on the job. He complained that the key was not allowing him to lock and unlock the car 10 times to see if something responded. He said it didn't seem to, although he wasn't able to lock and unlock it as it should. I offered to do it for him but he declined. So my car has central locking that works on the key but no remote. Should I get nissan to cut a new key and try again or do I get an alarm fitted that will operate the central locking? Any advice will be well recieved
