Micra mpg/idle speed

   Hallo to all. I am new to the Micra and recently bought an early 2010 Micra and I'm concerned about the length of time to reach normal idle speed from a cold start. I'm noticing it takes about three minutes to drop from 1250rpm and that's when the outside temp is 15 - 20 deg C. Normal? 
I also returned an avg of 50 mpg on a mostly motorway journey averaging about 65mph. I thought it might be higher.
My dealer also said that running the internal fan, not aircon, would load the engine and increase the idle speed to 950rpm. Is that normal? I would appreciate any advice.
