hi i own a 2004 micra k12 1.5 dci the problem is last night the wife was out in the car when the gearbox mount bolts came away from the gear box all 3 bolts and stripped the threads could i put helicoils in the holes and would it hold the gearbox as i cant afford a second hand gearbox as they wont a small fortune for them thanks |

bit of a strange one you sue the engine mounts havent gone causing the gearbox ones to go ?? your have to drill it out to the right size for the helicoil as you could split the alloy if you not carefull if you can get under the car and check the subframe mount and make sure there tight, are you sure the swmbo Hasnt runover something or hit a curb hard ??? |
