Hi guys and girls I am new to this forum but it looks like its a nice place
to be. I live in Hampshire and have a Parhfinder (55) Tspec and having
issues with the xenon lights. The near side light had failed and I took it
to halfords for a replacement. The guy there was so helpful but they
didn't have the bulb so he sent me elsewhere, went back and he
replaced after spending £60 on the bulb. Light still don't work and the
guy reckons it could be the xenon unit, great bet that is going to cost?.

The headlight itself has a lot of dampness inside which I know will have
to be replaced but I am wondering a couple of things please (a) any
idea where I can get a new xenon unit and (b) any idea of a cost for
one. Thanks, Neill

Hi Neill,

When you talk about xenon bulbs and units, I assume we're talking about H.I.D. units and ballasts, may be a good idea to visit an auto electrian before visiting a dealer because it does sound expensive.

You can clear the headlight of dampness, use a hairdyer to try and clear it and then throw in  a silica gel sachet (like you find in electrical goods) tried to a piece of string for easy removal.
