OTTAWA — Police say DNA left at two different crime scenes has led to an arrest in a robbery and a break-and-enter years after they were committed.

Police won’t say what DNA was left behind when a man robbed a Laurier Avenue East fast-food restaurant around 11 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2011. Find cheapest http://goldvk.com/Game.wow_eu.World%20of%20Warcraft%20-%20EU.wow_eu.Gold.Info.aspx" rel="nofollow - wow gold new from us

Police said the same man broke into a Centretown home on Bank Street between Arlington Avenue and Catherine Street some time between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 of 2006. you can http://goldvk.com/Game.wow_eu.World%20of%20Warcraft%20-%20EU.wow_eu.Gold.Info.aspx" rel="nofollow - wow gold kaufen from online shop with safe transaction.

The perpetrator in that case stole cash, a wallet and electronics before he fled the scene.

The robbery and break-and-enter remained open cases until the Centre of Forensic Sciences told police in December they found a DNA match.

A suspect was ordered to provide a DNA sample after he was convicted for a break-and-enter in 2013.

That DNA was sent to the centre, was put into a database and, police allege, it matched with DNA found by the Ottawa police identification unit at the robbery and break-and-enter scenes.

Mark Howard Pyke, 45, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with robbery, wearing a disguise, breaking and entering, and possession of a break-in instrument.
