Hi all, We took delivery of our new car today. We knew what car we were going to get since the middle of July but the way I saw it, no sense in tempting fate until the new car was actually sat on our driveway. The new car is a bit of a mouthfull. A Nissan Note Tekna 1.6 Auto. We collected it today and drove it home very carefully.  I have owned and driven automatic cars before but those were what might be called, "Clunkers". I think the best of the bunch was a "C" reg Volvo 240. But that was a long time ago and since we retired, believe it or not, finances have improved a great deal, tempting us to go for our first ever new car. It gets better. Tomorrow morning we are off on an 800 mile + journey from Lancashire down to Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and back up here to Lancs again. With the breaks we have planned, it will take us about 9 days all told. A bonus with this car is that when I went for a test drive, the dealer apologised that he didn't have the same model in stock. That meant I drove a lower spec car around for an hour. When we collected our car today, we were delighted to find that it had Sat/Nav built in. I wonder how much I'll get for my Navman Sat/Nav system on eBay?  I think that's about all for my very first post except to say that I'm surprised that my user name was accepted. BTW, My real name is Steve, married for donkey's years and retired. |

Welcome to club Nissan Steve and hope you have many happy years of motering in your new Nissan. as for user names there's some strange ones on here ------------- I don't read the newspapers because they all have ugly print! |
