Hiya.
I went to use the Micra to go to work in last night (she said I could, as long as I polished it!) Got in, started the engine, turned the radio on, put my seatbelt on, turned the lights on, radio went off! Turned lights off again, radio back on. Hmmm. Obviously the previous owner has made a boo boo of some sort when wiring the radio in, all power is completely cut when the lights are on. There was no radio in when I got it but all the ISO leads were there so I just popped in an old headunit and it worked ok, until you turn the lights on 
Has anyone come across this before or have any idea what might have been done wrong? |

someone wired the dimmer wire to the switch live maybe the dimmer wire dims the headunit when you switch on the lights, bit of an odd one what reg micra and what stereo is it ? |

It's a 97 P reg, but it doesn't just dim the radio, it
completely powers down like pulling a fuse. It's a Ministry of Sound head-unit, don't know how old or who makes them but it was a freebee. |
