Hi all my wifes almera cut out on her when driving home one night went to go from 1st to second car just stopped no noise fault code P1690 P5 which people are saying fuel pump has gone.

does anyone know if i put a fuel pump on from another almera does it need to be coded to the car?

and also the numebr on my wife 2.2di fuel pump is 167005M321 and on another almera 2.2di fuel pump its 167005M322. are this compatible with each other?

Hi Darren.

The fuel pumps can be quite common on the 2.2. As far as I remember the replacement pump will need to be coded to the immobiliser once it fitted otherwise it will not start. You can buy software for your laptop that will do this but you will need the immobiliser code that came with the car from new. If you haven't got the code then you will need a trip to Nissan.

As regards the different part number on the pump I would suggest that you would be better waiting for one with the same number. The pump could have a different pressure or might possibly not be compatable with the engine ECU.

tengo un nissan almera y se me rompió la ecu de la bomba.tengo la referencia de la bomba pero necesitaría la referencia de la ecu...alguien me podría ayudar!!!por favor!!!
