Opener Dhananjaya de Silva scored a
double hundred (227 from 218 balls), which proped up Ragama Cricket Club to post
a huge 418-5 against Bloomfield on day one of the three-day Inter-club Under-23
Division I match, which began at Braybrooke Place yesterday.
De Silva,
the 21-year-old right hander struck 31 fours and four sixes during his 218-ball
knock. He put on 200-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Shiran Ratnayake,
who made 80 runs from 116 balls.
